Ismaning, 3 September 2010 – PLAZAMEDIA Swiss AG, a fully-owned subsidiary of PLAZAMEDIA GmbH, will produce a total of nine qualifying matches for UEFA EURO 2012 on behalf of international sports-marketing agency Infront Sports & Media. The production company will produce two international matches each of Liechtenstein and Moldova this year, with a further five productions to follow in 2011.
When today the qualifiers kick off throughout Europe, PLAZAMEDIA Swiss will produce the central broadcast signal for the fixtures Liechtenstein versus Spain (group H) and Moldova versus Finland (group E) with a high technical complexity under the direction of the agency based in Zug, Switzerland.
For the clash between Liechtenstein and reigning world and European champions Spain, a 25-strong crew on location at the Rheinpark Stadium in Vaduz will create the signal with 11 cameras including a super-slow-motion one.
The Moldova versus Finland match, which takes place at the same time, will be produced by around 20 crew with eight cameras including a super-slow-motion one at Zimbru Stadium in Chisinau. And similar resources will be used for Moldova’s second qualifier on 8 October 2010 against World Cup finalists Holland and the match between Liechtenstein and the Czech Republic on 12 October 2010.
The Swiss TV-production company has already been producing FIFA and UEFA qualifying games in Liechtenstein and Moldova on behalf of Infront Sports & Media since 2006.
